Hello all,
Can anyone bestow some knowledge with regards to swapping phase 2 front end for phase 1?

I personally love the phase1 and cannot believe renault thought it could be improved.
But for every phase1 in decent condition there are about 5 phase 2s so im in the market for a phase 2 with the intention of swapping the front bits for phase 1 bits
Is it simply a case of souricng phase 1 bonnet, panels, bumper and headlights and fitting them or would it involve welding / adjusting any hinges or fixings?
any feedback v.much appreciated

Both links are dead.

Have you asked your insurance company what they are going to charge you. Such changes are reportable to your insurance provider. Some companies may decline to insure you. Regards Peter

I think you mean the phase 3. Few people realise that clio Mk1s went through 3 phases, with the Mk 3 phase being the most noticeable in 1995 / P.
Anyway. Phase two to phase three (or vicea versa) is new bonnet, new wings, new inner wings, new lights. At the rear it means a new tailgate,
all details coutesy of my son, who is a clio mk1 nut, and who now has a fairly rare pristine Mk1 clio RSi

phase 2/3 u'd get wgat i mean if the links worked what code do you need to use i thought [ img ] is standard?...
anywhoo on other forums the response has been wings can be left. just bonnet, headlight assembly, grill and bumper would be all i need to sort it.
By the way any pics of your lads RSi?
