I was wondering if anyone could help me please? I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee and need to remove the rear wiper as it has been vandalised, leaving a sharp jagged edge. It has been broken off leaving about 1 inch. I can't seem to find any sort of tab to release it? It's due an MOT soon and I'm worried it might fail due to the sharp edges. Any help much appreciated

Hi
Going from memory if there is no cap with a nut under it then the arm holds it self on. When you pull the arm up it will only come up a bit but you will see there is a clip and if you push the clip the arm will come up more and this will release the arm off the motor.

Hi Merlin Tec
Unfortunately the wiper arm has been snapped off leaving less than an inch on the spindle. I can make out some kind of clip underneath but do I need to pry it up or down? Would one of those screw type wiper removing tools help? Thanks

Try it on one of your front wipers so you will understand how the clip works. don't use and pry tool.
