which car for my new commute? - Coolhurst
I need a car for a new 80 miles per day commute. Looking at a used car but not sure what's best. Was thinking BMW 320D E90. Seems I can one for around £9,000 with about 50k on the clock. I'd trade it in a year later before mils climb too high.

Anyone have a view on what's best in terms minimal depreciation, good MPG and a decent ride.

As your rate of mileage increase will be high, why not buy a car which has a few more miles on to begin with? The days when a car falls apart at 100k are far behind us now.

80 a day, so you'll do around 23k/pa to allow for weekends etc. Why not buy a three years old car on 70+, and keep it for three years? Must be cheaper, and at 140-150k it'll still sell at 6 years old if it has good SH and bodywork.
