Renault Clio II (2001 - 2007) - 04 1.2 Immobiliser

04 1.2 Immobiliser - kremer

Hi my 04 clio 1.2 was involved in a minor bump yesterday morning, light impact with another car damaging the front of mine, no airbags etc deployed.

Since this the car wont start, I rang renaults who informed me my car does not have a fuel shut off switch, and even it did I believe the car should turn over..

I cant see any broken wires, or any blown any fuses, and my key remote still works perfectly locking and unlocking the car, however the immobilser light remains on all the time, and flashes fast when you attempt to start engine it is obviously not being deactivated as usual.

It seems very coincidental that the problem has occurred since my prang, however I cant see any reason based on my small crash and the lack of damage for the immobilser to start,

If any one has any ideas I would be very grateful as I am baffled!!

Have you tried the spare key to see if the same problem occurs?

unfortunatly I dont have the spare key, it just seems a bit coincidental I have a bump and now the key doesnt work...
