2000 2.0 HDi estate - broken front spring - FP
SWMBO's 306 HDi estate broke its offside front spring today just as she was moving off and the spring penetrated the tyre. I've not heard of this happening before, so maybe we're just unlucky.

It will be dealt with by a local garage (I'm not sure how they'll get the car there) on Friday.

My instinct is to ask the garage to replace both front springs. Have I got this right?

As always, my thanks in advance for any help.

Very common; caused by the use of rubbish steel.

Replacing both is a good idea; do the dampers too at the same time - not cheap pattern ones either.
