Smart Electric Cars - drbe
I am told that Mercedes Benz World and the MB sales and servicing operations at Brooklands were closed for some time today (Tuesday) because of an 'incident' with a Smart Electric car.

I was told that it had caught fire in the workshop, necessitating the fire brigade being called and the building had to be evacuated.

Are Smart electric cars safe?

I went there a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning and they had had a fire alert - due to a faulty sensor.

Every year there are fires caused by lights on Christmas trees, how often do you question how safe they are?

Of course electric smarts are safe!
