Gap insurance

Gap insurance - Tee-Cee
this is my first question so apologies if i get something wrong!
I have just ordered a new Honda jazz and was offered gap insurance(rti)through honda.
I know i can get this cheaper online but who best to insure with??
Must this be a seperate insurance from the car insurance??
anyone have any knowledge/experience on this subject please??

In fact, I think you'll find several threads.

Do check your normal policy carefully, as mine (NFU mutual) gives me two years at no cost!

Mine with LV gives me a year. Anyone know of other companies as good as NFU?

Yes, worth checking what your insurance company will do if you total your car in the first X years. But check the small print as my policy excludes this feature if you pay for your car in certain ways (HP/PCP for example).

Click Forum search button which is to the RIGHT of the Log in / Log out button.
In search fields, select Discussion, then either < 1 year for one year threads or > 1 year for older threads, and enter the term Gap Insurance [either as the subject OR the words to search in the message body].

That should do it.
