i have an intermitent fault on my 406 HDI 2.2. engine light comes on and go's off. have had system read and these codes came up.P0235, P0100, P2045, P0380. these are all to to with turbo pressure. the guuy in the garage said its probably loss of pressuer from a bad hose connection or leaking pipe. any surgestions wher to start looking. there's a maze of pipes there. thanks for any advice given.

these are all to to with turbo pressure.


Really?

P0235; EDC15C2 - Turbo pressure signal, consistency with atmospheric pressure.

The MAP sensor is reading incorrectly with the engine off.


P0100; EDC15C2 - Flow sensor signal. Open circuit or short to earth / short to positive.

MAF sensor signal not received - has someone been unplugging?


P2045; PSA Generic - Reductant temperature sensor. High input.

FAP [exhaust DPF] temperature sensor signal.


P0380; EDC15C2 - Pre/Post heating relay circuit. Short circuit to positive.

Probably at least one glowplug gone.

screwloose you baffle me with science is there a simple answer to this or should i en-roll in mechanics university. thanks steve

Check MAP [boost] sensor's reading in live-data. Key-on-engine-off - and then with it running. It should be around 100 kPa [2.4v] engine off and 180 kPa [3.8v] revved.

Also check the exhaust temp sensor; reading 2-300 o C when hot?

Test glow-plugs and their feed.

i should add i did pull a few plugs whilst looking for a quick fix!

Hi i have a 2.0 turbo hdi 406, 52reg. if the turbo sensor is gone would the oil pressure rise on the guage.

My car only seems to have problems when i exceed 75mph. The dashboard would beep and the engine symbol appears and all drive power would be lost.

However after switching engine off for a few minutes and restarting the engine symbol would disappear and the drive would resume. Although i found that the oil temp was higherthen usual.

Any advice would be welcome thanks in advance.
