2002 2.0 hdi stuck in neutral, wont go onto gear - colin882

hi i got a 307 110 hdi 52reg and the misses was driving it today, after driving it for about 30mins she put it in to neutral and couldnt get in to any gear for a couple of mins then she managed to get it in and away she went again, she said its been doin it on and off here and there, not had a chance to look at it yet as its dark now and only just got in from work, just wondered if anyones come across it b4? sounds like a new gbox needed to me tho (oh joy!!!) thanks

More likely a linkage, or clutch/DMF issue.

If it does it again; try switching off the engine and seeing if it will go into gear then.
