i10 vs Jazz Sport CVT! - CarNovice28
Someone we know has a 2005 Jazz Sport CVT that's done 15,000 miles. Should be about £7000, according to What Car.

Seller is prepared to give us the car for what the dealer offers when he p/x's for new Jazz in January.

I really like that Hyundai i10 and I'm waiting for the 1.2 to come into our local showroom to test drive it.

Dad came with me yesterday, as we wondered if there were any in the showroom on the off chance but there weren't.

He thought the i10 looked like a Noddy car! "Why are you thinking of buying something like that!" was the cry!

Style over substance! He's just like Jeremy Clarkson!

He's a bit upset that I've dissed this Jazz but I haven't really. Just giving myself another option.

I also had a Yaris 1.3 auto in mind but dealer wanted too much for it.

Except the dealer wont give him that price when he finds out he is not getting the car. The dealer makes profit on the p/ex car. No profit on that and your friend will be paying more for his new car.

I suppose we can only go off private price then!

I can see what my Dad is saying to a point, but surely it's the way a car drives that's the most important thing?

Safety, reliability, economy and comfort are four things that I would put above driveability.

Oh, and environmentally friendly also nowadays.

I'm leaning strongly towards i10.

Just seen a £99 a month finance offer on over 3 years.

I would end up spending £1700 more on the car over 3 years than if I paid straight cash.

Quite convenient though but I could probably afford to pay more.

Not likely to get any discounts either or 0% finance offers.

£7k for an 05 Jazz is far too much by the way.

I have an 06 Jazz and it really is a brilliant all rounder. Can take 4 adults and all their stuff hundreds of miles without any problems. It can potter round town for fun. Sips petrol.
