02 1.6 Heating problems. - antonypleeming
Does any one know if there is a problem with the heating on the 02 Ford KA's?

I have purchased one from a dealer and after the heater has been put on to heat, warm air still continues to come out of the vents, even after it has been put on to fully cold.

The dealer is claiming that this is not a fault, however it sounds a bit suspicious.

Your help will be much appreciated!

99% certain to be a duff heater control valve, and a very, very common fault. In fact I don't know anyone who's owned a Ka or Fiesta for any length of time who *hasn't* had this problem.

Not a big or expensive job - the dealer should pay for it.

sometimes the heater controls play up, the circuit board in the rear of the control unit melts/distorts but yes heater valve are a common problem, not letting heat through or not closing properly, get it sorted its a cheap fix (even if you have to pay)
