I've had my 307 now for about a year and fear I'm suffering from a bad case of peugeot build quality, various MOT failing faults have cropped up first off my drivers seat seems to be collapsing, but got that covered. Now the Indicator is all over the place and my horn only works intermitentley have been informed that in all likelyhood that its my com 2000 unit but I hate the Idea of forking over £300 to peugeot for a new one. Anyone know where I might get one for less? And while I'm on anyone know where I might be able to get my hands on a cheap spare key??

I'm soo not getting another peugeot!

Cheers and beers

GSF could be worth a try for a COMM 2000, I think they used to sell them for about £150.

If the new Comms 2000 doesn't cure the horn; check the horn earth in the centre of the steering wheel [after removing the airbag with all necessary safety precautions.]

Will do cheers.
In my search for a suitable replacement I have come across numerous part numbers and apperently the one I'm after is a 6239L9 does this really matter or are there generic after market units as GSF told me there's is about £149 as well as some bloke on ebay selling both new and used ones. GSF's website had no pictures of the unit in question and the ebay bloke only had pictures of a different unit with an additional stem (presumably for cruise control). I could use a bit of help as I'm not fond of throwing money down the tubes.

There are a lot of Comms 2000s due to all the different features. They are also incredibly poor quality - the record is fitting seven new [dealer's] ones to get even one that works. [Heaven knows how bad the cheap copies are - or how hard to programme the SAS; needless to say; I wouldn't touch one.]

Why not have your one properly diagnosed first. There are a lot more components in the indicator circuit than just the stalk. [Tried a squirt of WD40?]

Might give that a whirl, infact I recently spotted a peugeot specialist about 50 feet from the place I'm getting a new drivers seat from. but at this point don't think I'll ever own a peugeot again and might consider an insurance fire if it persists in its awful fashion.
