Advice for Possible Commute - ndr116
I currently cover J11 to J15 of the M25 on my daily commute, usually between 7am and 8am. I have the possibility of a new job in Hatfield which would mean a considerably longer commute from J11 each day. Could anyone offer any comments as to the average speeds/ regular queues on the M25 between J15 and J21a (and then on the A405 and A414 or is it?s better to go to J23 on the M25 and then use the A1M)?

Many thanks, NDR

Have a look at www.transportdirect.info . Their car journey planner uses information about average traffic conditions and will give you a fairly good idea.

No substitute for local knowledge though...

Don't forget to consider the journey back from jct 21A to j15, this can also be a real mare at normal rush hour time. As above, I would try it out, but not for the next couple of weeks as school hols can make a big difference.
