Peugeot 307 SW (2002 - 2008) - 03 2.0 lack of power

Hi all

A problem you may be able to help me with.

I have a 307sw rapier 110 on an 03 plate with 85000 miles on the clock, the problem is lack of power in low revs, below 2000 after which its fine, and when its cold.
I?ve also had a anti pollution warning ,would this result in lack of power? ,but again only when it was cold and was struggling uphill(due to lack of power at low revs), it went off when it warmed up and has not returned.

A friend has suggested the problem may be the air flow meter, could he be right or is the real problem the anti pollution warning .

All comments and ideas welcome ,thanks in advance .

The anti-pollution warning is just Peugeot speak for engine management light. If it's been on there will be stored codes. Start by getting these read, they should givea hint as to what the problem is. Is this diesel or petrol?

Sorry forgot to mention it?s the HDI,will get the codes read at the earliest opportunity thanks for the suggestion .

While they've got it plugged-in; get them to check the EGR operation.
