Has anyone ever bothered to visit what has become an annual event here in Bromley, where I live. In fact it is held in Norman Park, just to the rear of my house.
I have never been because, among other things, the usual high prices of entry to such events. It seems to always to be very popular, attracting a lot of entrants, owing every type and marque of car and vehicle from the past.
It always seems to be badly advertised, as although is was on today (Sunday, 15th) I wasn't aware of it until late last week!

Agree with you about the about the advertising - I saw the first ad on Saturday. I went a few years ago but found there were just too many cars. After a while you just get brain fade as you can only take in so many of one model!

I went on sunday, it's amazing how popular it is, not sure they need to advertise.
As I don't go to car shows I'm not sure how they compare but as was said above there are field after field of cars, hard not to lose interest.
There doesn't seem to be any kind of focus to the show and the events in the arena were a bit dim witted.
£5 for a pork sandwich is a bit rich too.
I left site around 2 pm and the traffic getting out was terrible, I dread to think what it would be like at closing time.

I've been once or twice (last year most recent), mostly because I've had a classic or been thinking about buying one.
Nice to see those models you've forgotten about- big portion of nostalgia! Last year I became particularly doe-eyed over a beautifully preserved Renault 16 of all things.
Very huge, kind of haphazard as KRS1 says. Never bothered with the arena really. Autojumble is useful if you need a bit, although ebay will probably be easier & cheaper.
Main reason for not going is the astronomical cost! If I was minded, I could probably derive as much pleasure from sitting at the exit at closing time & ooh-ing at the cars as they came out. Same principle as watching the planes at Biggin Hill from a field at the back of the runway for a fraction of the cost of being inside :-)

Alex.
