2004 - Vibration through floor at 40 MPH ? - TouranDave
Hi Guys,
The problem we have is at 40 MPH there is a vibration through the car, not the steering wheel though. It happens in any gear at any revs, but always at 40 MPH, worse when the car is under load i.e. going up hill or fully loaded.

Any ideas what it could be or where to start looking?

Thanks, Dave

if it only happens at a set speed it's almost certainly wheel or drive shaft, try swapping wheels around. check tyres thoroughly whilst you've got them off.

if the tyres are old or damaged they can bulge at speed causing vibration. also balance weights can fall off.

Thanks for your help/suggestions,

I'll start by swapping the wheels around to see if the vibration changes.

Dave

Sorry forgot to put the year, and now can't edit it, the year is 2004.
