Audi A6 1998 window fault - Stu
Honest,
You need to include the following in your list of faults for the A6.
The 18t SE I am currently driving has developed a fault on the drivers window. It crunches and goes up and down repeatedly at a single operation of the button. I soldiered on with it for about a week before it finally gave up the ghost and fails to move at all now. ( fortunately it was up at the time!)
The door panel will not reveal it's secret and let me get it off without risk of damage. The local Audi centre happily booked my car in for repair diagnosing a faulty regulator? without having looked at it! How come? Because it's such a common fault! I'm told by the parts manager. And he should know. Looking through the receipt history with the car the same part was replaced thirteen months ago!
And what size of bill should I expect next week? I'll let you know.
Any other drivers suffered the same problem? Anyone had any joy out of Audi in terms of goodwill..........for the same???

Okay, Stu. I'll add it to the list on the car by car breakdown.

Stu - Audi's of late have been referred to as an expensive Vauxhall. I had to chuckle!! I own an A4 TDi Avant and I am not that impressed with the reliability and durability.
