I am thinking of buying a new car from an internet company one a friend used last year and with whom he was very happy.
I have a car to trade in and I put the details into a different internet company website that buys your car for cash. The offer was fair (indeed more than a local dealer offered me against a new car) but I wondered if anyone on the forum had used this method to sell their car and if so was it a success?
I really don't want the hassle of wheel kickers coming to the house wasting my time as I have had that before.

I can only add that last year we sold my wifes Fiesta St through one of the "we will buy your car" internet companies, sucessfully, for more than the dealers trade in.
Selling it was painless. They did inspect it to see that it was straight, but otherwise we got what they quoted online.
Mind you I've had not so attractive quotes on my 4 yr old Focus. I think they tailor the quote depending upon if they want the car.
I also think you must be honest in the details of your car regarding condition etc.
I hope this helps.

MM,
Thanks for that are you able to say who it was you sold through?
The company I have asked is "webuyanycar.com" and they have offered £400 more than the dealer trying to sell me a new car!

notahope, just tried my car - they offered 5725 which is just lower than the Glass's "below average condition" price. excellent condition on the Glass's was £1400 more!

Notahope.
(I see that I can mention actual company names.)
Yes we did use, webuyanycar.com which was good for the ST, but as I eluded, their quote for my 4 year old focus was not very tempting. In my case they worked through the same operation as Carcraft at M6 J9.
There is also a similar company wewillbuyyourcar.com
Good luck again.

Thanks for your response it does give me a little more confidence that you had no problem selling to them.
They (webuyanycar.com) have offered me £4420 on my 04 reg Fusion Diesel with 18k on the clock I could probably get more selling privately but don't want the aggro!!

Hmm. Offered me under half of Glasses on mine! Bonkers!

Little bit lower than I would expect for mine but not too bad. I wouldn't mind dropping a couple of hundred quid just to avoid all the hassle of selling. Depends how you value your free time I suppose.
