Hi.
Has anyone used these products as I am thinking of doing so as I have(like most owners) acquired some minor scratches and scuffs on my year old (metallic silver) car. Some of these are self inflicted by too rigourous cleaning with the wrong cloth trying to remove bird lime and tar marks etc.
Are these polishes the ones that take of a layer of paint or does the colour just fill in the scratches so you have to regularly reapply. Are they better or worse than all the other scratch removal products out there such as scratch x or autoglym paint renovator?
Do you have to do the whole panel and will the repair be noticed?
Any advice welcome, even if it's 'don't bother'!
Thanx.

I've used the Turtle Wax one.
It's just a couloured polish that fills the scratches, I'm afraid. Won't do anything to a flat surface except polish it. Also, you will have to repeat every time you wash the car as it will wash out.
You also get a coloured "Lipstick" to deal with larger scratches, but, again, it isn't in any way permanent.

What was the result like, was it easy to apply and did it blend in ok?

Nothing wonderful, I have to say.
It will never be the right shade because there are only the basic colours available, i.e. Red, Black, Yellow, Silver,........
But, compared to other solutions, it's very cheap and easy to do, so might be worth a try.
Don't expect miracles, though!

The Turtle product worked wonders on a plain red car I had, but the blue did nothing for a metallic blue car.
Cheap enough, and if it works, use it.
