06 Trying to identify fuse location. - PatriciaX
Morning!

The fuse has gone for the "cigarette lighter" in my Focus for the 2nd time in 2 months. Not that Im a smoker, but I need it for Tim, the TomTom.

However, there was no fuse plan/map thing on the underside of the fuse box and the garage did it for free last time (doubt they'd be so generous this time).

Anyone know where I can find out which fuse it is so I can change it today? I have until 12.30 to buy the fuse when the local car parts shop closes.

Much appreciate any advice,

Patricia

PS. My cars due for a service anyway so I'll mention that the fuse has gone so quickly so they should pick that up.

For what it might be worth, on the Mk1 Focus the fuse is F46, rated at 15 amps, and is in the Central Fuse Box which is located in the passenger compartment behind the Glovebox.

This information was from a Haynes manual. I doubt whether the handbook will tell you.

Every Ford handbook that I have seen(tho'I've not seen a Focus one) has had both location of fuse box and identification of fuses. Both my current cars-2000 Escort & 2006 Ka have several pages on fuses and fusebox location.

Fuses are so cheap. Just ask the guys what is required and you can always get additional fuses, the next amps above and below their suggestion.
I would be surprised if they are other than the standard two blade versions.
