03 1.6 ABS light remains on after sensor repair - cjm1066
Had to replace the o/s/r ABS sensor due to a broken wire, however the ABS light is still on, is the new sensor defective, or do I need to reset anything?

Did you have the faultcodes read before, or after, you changed that sensor?

Will disconnecting the battery for say 30mins not force the ABS system to reset itself and if all is okay turn off the light?

Thanks for the help, the wire got broken getting the sensor out of the hub, that's when I replaced the sensor but as yet the codes haven't been read.

Is the Gunson code reader any good for this task www.gunson.co.uk/item.aspx?item=1809&cat=443

That code-reader will only read engine codes.

To look up the correct info needs the correct vehicle details....

So; once again:-
