I had to drive on the M4 ON Monday and was shocked at the poor state of it between junc 15-14, it seems as though non colour matching surface was used to repair it very badly. It's uneven and the mixture of colours, almost dazzling. Any idea what happened there.
Also it seems that the local council around Weybridge and Walton, they've bought a job lot of to "Dress" the road surface, it seems every road has been done

Yep - Elmbridge / Surrey have been busy doing spray and stones all over the borough
Hampton Court Way - the A309 and some nearby roads have also been treated.

And Copsem Lane and Stoke Road in Oxshott/Cobham. I think SCC think that this will count as 'repairs' in voters' eyes, but we all know it's just a temporary patch, don't we!

When we had all the floods and huge rainfall a couple of months ago, parts of the M4 just ripped away from the surface. Between J14 and J15 was probably the worst hit area if I recall.
I guess that what you are seeing is the emergency repairs that were implemted with the full repairs to be scheduled at a later date.
I travel this section of road every day and don;t even notice it now.
