Car went in for service a good while ago and ever since the windscreen washers take a couple of seconds to pump water through, which is quite annoying when trying to clear the screen of insect debris as this is spread everywhere. Immediately after the service the smell of the washer fluid was awful, I had to empty the reservoir and have filled up with Halfords double concentrate (which smells a bit better). Prior to the service the washers were fine, they were meant to be spray jets but have really become thin lines of water now.
Anyone got any ideas as to how I might rectify this and get the washer jets blasting like they used to?

Mine had a similar problem, the pipe was weeping around the bonnet hinge area from being trapped by the black plastic trianglular trim peice and the flexing of the bonnet going up and down. It would drain the pipe. Try checking here. You need a torx driver to remove the triangle.

I hope the service has not introduced an actual physical problem as suggested above.
Using Halfords brand fluid with water softeners cleared my Passat spray nozzles which had gradually reduced to jets.

Ah yes GWS, I remember a garage caused mine, they removed the plastic thing that covers the batterym brake reservior etc.. and caught the pipe as they reinstalled it and trapped it.

If the garage were messing around with the pollen filter during the service, let's hope that they reassembled it correctly. Yyou might want to keep an eye on the passenger footwell for future water ingress. There are plenty of threads on the subject.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll take a look over the weekend

As ever, thanks for the responses!.
There was a slight kink in the pipe behind the triangular thingy near the bonnet hinge, jets working perfectly.
