Olympic Logo - oldbuffer

I see that a Weymouth butcher has been forced to remove sausages in the shape of the Olympic logo from his butchers shop window display.

Does that now mean that a certain German car manufacturer will not be allowed to use the same logo on the front of their cars, or will the ban be just for English businessmen with Germans being exempt?

sounds very silly but in any event, the audi badge is made up of 4 rings, not 5

Olympic Logo - cheddar

The Audi and Olympic logos are similar though in trademark terms different enough and apply to different categories. If the Audi logo did not exist and was developed today then the IOC would not be able to contest it unless it were applied to a sports brand or similar.

I am sure that Audi would be as protective over its logo as the IOC are if someone were to abuse it.
