Puncture and mixing tyres - VR6
I got a puncture in my rear tyre this evening. I found a screw stuck in the tyre about 1cm from the wall. I am assuming that this is too close to the wall to get it repaired? Shame really as there is a good amount of tread left on the rear tyres, whereas the fronts have pretty much had it.

All 4 tyres Toyo Proxes T1-R which are directional. But I have a Pirelli P6000 which is hardly used in the garage. Would it be ok to put that on to replace the punctured Toyo or not? Cars fairly powerful and I mainly do motorway mileage.

Cheers.

As long as it's the same size as the others it's legal. It's not ideal though - could affect handling in extreme situations. Check your local tyre dealer first about repair before deciding to scrap the tyre.
