We are going to Cornwall in 3 weeks and i am thinking of buying a twin screen dvd (don't fancy another 8 hrs of I spy+spot the yellow car),any way i have been looking at the one's around £100 in Argos,Halfords etc.Are these cheaper ones any good or am i wasting my time+money,any comments pos+neg appreciated ta Andrew.

I got a two screen set from Halfords last year for about £250 I think, I went for the biggest screen I could.
Less fiddly than I thought to take the screens off when you park up but we had a sort of rule that we only used them on journeys longer than two hours.
Yellow car - do you play standard or advanced rules?
By the way - look to the right...I win.

Avoid at all costs if your kids get travel sick!
Oh, and this, but it was in the Daily Mail, so the truth is probably that the DVD player wobbled slightly on the headrest. ;)

If anyone fits these be aware they can be dangerous in an accident. They are not fixed that tighlty so can strike rear (small?) passengers with considerable force. Factory installed units expensive but maybe that's price to pay? Same goes for some sat nav units if not stuck down properly.

totally agree rtj70. I also wondered what happens to a rear seat pasenger when they head but a dvd player in an accident?. Even if a vehicle is struck from behind the body flies forward 1st

The article in the car mag I read last week implied they also can easily come loose. Therefore become projectiles and are dangerous. Never thought of it before.

a tip for people with vomity kids , fill them up with opal fruits before and during any lengthy journey then at least whilst the floor of the car is sloshing around in vomit it will smell nice and citrousy

aldi have some of these coming up on offer, think they were about £80 and seem quite good value, they are virtually identical to the one's we got for my neices from toys r us and they have been fine
