My partner has recently had a rear end bump in her car. Other party has admitted full liability, and his insurers are dealing direct with her. While her car is in the garage she stressed to them that a corsa / Ka etc was no good and she would need a like for like replacement for the Sharan due to having 3 kids in car seats, plus friend on occasions. They agreed and are providing a car through Enterprise.
Has anyone had a full size people carrier through them, and if so what do they tend to run? Tried asking them, but they were very vague and just said you will get what we have on the day!
My interest lies in the fact that I quite like the new Galaxy so view this as an oportunity to get an extended test drive............

Similar thing happened with my dad and his Peugeot 806, and hire company supplied a Kia or Hyundai. Not sure whether it was Enterprise though.

tell them or the third-party insurance company that such vagueness if not acceptable. you are entitled to a car equivalent to your sharan and that is what you should demand and get.

Thanks for the replys - guess I will just have to wait until Thursday.
My partner was insistent that it was a "like for like" and Enterprise confirmed that they have been instructed by XXX insurance to provide a full size MPV, not a Zafira etc (same thought crossed my mind though). Notice that their website states Toyota Previa or equivilent - never actualy had what they quoted on any hire car site though, plus I thought the Previa had been discontinued?

Had a loaner from Enterprise when my Alfa was poorly, this was done under Relay Plus from the AA.
They normally give an Astra size car but when I got there he said they had run out & would I like a diesel, doing 36K a year the answer was yes. They gave me a Sharan! I hate the VAG 1.9 lump with a passion & in the SHaran it was even worse, aside from the fact the neighbours were asking when the 5 kids were arriving! Boy was I glad when the Alfa was fixed.

I had a like-for-like replacement from Enterprise when my Avensis was out of action. They supplied a 2.0 TDi Sharan. Couldn't stand the engine, gearbox and noise levels but at least the bus had a nice view when driving around town :)
NB - I might not have liked the Sharan much, but a few weeks later another punch in the nose for the Avensis saw me spending a week in a Chevrolet Matiz.
On both occasions getting the Avensis back was a complete joy and I appreciated it all the more.
