Motor Provider : As good as they claim - Onmyway
Evening All

Just been promoted and have a car allowance burning a hole in my pocket !!!

I was advised to go down the route of a PCP but having seen the prices at Motor Provider thought it might be as cheap to buy myself.

I'm not look at anything too flash (small family car) and wondered whether there were any catches to the quotes on their web site (too cynical for one so young!!!!)

Can anyone shed any light on thier experiences or recommend any other brokers in the North of England (I'm based in Oldham) that might be worth a look

Cheers

As you are in Oldham, nip over to Motorpoint in Burnley.

Their new cars are mainly imports and the used ones are ex-hire fleet, typically 6-9 months old and 8-14000 miles.

There really isn't anything to worry about either of these sources, as all EU-sourced cars are covered by the manufcaturer's warranty and Motorpoint will tell you what this is.

Motorpoint's prices are usually unbeatable - they sell on volume so the prices are a bit lower than other Car Supermarkets.

Thye claim to sell a car every 4 minutes across their five sites! That's some turnover!! (Assuming the average car is £13000, that's £2 million per day).

We're just buying our 3rd and 4th Motorpoint cars (new imports and ex-hire used cars) and have no complaints.

Trade-in values are OK as well.

As the site has a policy of no naming and shaming you may be able to draw some conclusion from the fact that you have had no comments re Motor provider - or maybe nobody here has used them. Apart from Motorpoint it is also possible to get a deal from one of the brokers in the column on the right. It is possible to buy a new car, sourced from a UK main dealer, delivered to your home and with the normal 3 year warranty etc at a really good discount. Please let usknow how you geton and what sort of discount and service you got.

How do Motor Providers prices compare with www.newcar4me.com? They (and their parent, DSG Auto Contracts) often appear in this site's News section.
I think they're based in Stockport, although I'm not sure you'd need to go to their premises.

Have to agree with what was said about Motorpoint. I visted them at thier Derby location after travelling up from Essex. Very helpful and all the cars I saw looked very good, both in quality and price. Didn't buy from them though as they didn't have the colour I wanted at that time, so I returned south and bought from a local maindealer , using the Motorpoint prices to leverage an excellent discount...
