Hi all,
I am selling my 02 Toyota Corolla t3 and would like to guage peoples opinions on the following before i place the ad on Autotrader.
I had my engine replaced last year under warranty/re-call. Some 02 Corollas had a problem with excessive oil consumption and toyota replaced any engine that displayed this problem, i didn't even have to do anything, they told me they would replace it so i was happy.
Thing is, would you be put off to know the car had to have its engine replaced or would it be a plus point?
Thanks

If I was buying a car, I would've done some research into the model type I was interested in, and therefore would probably be aware of any inherent problems. In your case I would be happy a known problem had been sorted. However:
Many car buyers don't know their pink fluffy dice (It's OK DD's dozing, I've seen this twice today - and since deleted - DD) from their elbows, and if they've set their hearts on a car like yours they won't have much of a clue.
Sorry, I've not really answered you. I think I'd not mention it, but if anyone asked I'd have the documentation to hand to show It'd been done, and also pass over the proof, after cash had changed hands, to those who didn't ask.
