I'm having a few problems getting my new Sony MEX-BT2500 car stereo to work in my N Reg Corsa. I fitted it all correctly, swapped the switched and continuous power supplies as was suggested on this forum. And everything was looking good.
The unit works perfectly if the ignition is on either 1 or 2 clicks, but as soon as I turn the key to 3 to start the engine, the unit turns off and bleeps to warn me that I've left the front panel in.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be very very thankful.

it would appear that the permanent live is in fact not a permanent live durring cranking, or the radio don't like less than 12 volts may be worth running permanent live direct from the battery or you could re check that the correct wires have been used, i assume that you did not purchase a harness from halfords etc that would convert vauxhall to sony wireing, far easier and a lot less hassle

The Vauxhall wiring will have an ISO connector - the Sony stereo likewise, and therefore plug and play. All you normally have to do is cut / disconnect the red and yellow wires on one of the iso connectors and swap them around. ie, red to yellow, and yellow to red.

Your correct, and I did this when I installed the unit, the Sony power wires have little connectors half way down making it easy to swap them over.
So unfortunatally this isn't the problem. Tomorrow I'll check the voltage over the switched and continuous power wires to see if anything odd is happening when the engine is switch on.

corsa ignition switches on this year usually have a switch built in that turns the power off when you REMOVE the key
these switches can go faulty ,i find a nice tight plastic tie clip round it pulled up tight to the ignition barrel normally cures it
if it does need a new switch be aware there are quite a few different ones depending on the spec of your car airbag /year/ etc do not try and fit the wrong one

Cheers, for the advice, the problem is with the ignition barrel, if I push the key down when the engine is running it fixes the problem.
Luckly my car still has 1 month warrenty left, so I'm hopeing that the garage I bought it from will fix the problem. Failing that I'll do it myself.
Thanks to everyone who replied.
