Morning all,
I've a strange question I'm hoping the back roomers can help me with.
Some car's screen washers just squirt out a narrow jet, whereas others I've seen spray a poweful atomised mist onto the screen.
If you own, or know someone with a car that does the second, could you let me know the make and model of that car?
Thanks
Ian

My 2002 VW Passat has the fan spray, so do all Nissan Muranos. (I'm sure many others do too)
Does your car have nozzles mounted on the bonnet, or ones under the trailing edge of the bonnet?
If you want to swap them, you would need to know this and find a car that matches.
Mines are under the trailing edge and just clip into holes. They are adjustable for height by moving a horizontal bar up or down.

Thanks for this Ashok,
what I'm actually doing is making a DIY water spray for my side mounted "inter-warmer" by ripping some screen washers out of a scrappie car (rather than pay £hundreds for a 'cooler upgrade).
But what you've said is great - if I don't see any passats (hopefully they've got a few more years of life in them!) I'll look for cars with nozzles on the edge of bonnet perhaps.
Many thanks
Ian

My 2003 Peugeot 206 has the mist jets fitted from the factory.

My '04 Passat clone has the "fan spray" jets fitted. (Heated too).

cheers,
unsuprisingly, I couldn't find any new shape passats at the scrap yard - in fact the newest car I saw was a T-reg...
The rover jets I got were not what I wanted at all, so I'lll keep my eyes peeled for a newer car or just go to the dealer and pay a couple of quid.
Thanks

Later Saxo & 106s also had these mist jets & plenty of them in the scrap;ard thanks to accident damage, just look for the ones with the slot intead of the 2 holes.

Lee,
cheers for that - I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for, but that sounds like good advice.
