Can you repair 'Y' rated tyres? - andrew_rs

Just found there is a screw embedded in one of my bradn new Goodyear Eagles :(
Not best pleased.
Can Y rated tyres be repaired?
Thought I had read somewhere that they couldn't but tyre places online only mention where on the tyre the damage is.
Hoping it can be, or even that the screw hasn't penetrated all the way!

They might be but if the car needs y rated tyres I wouldn't take the risk. Buy a new one. If you can get the damaged one repaired then it could make a decent emergency full sized spare. I think ZR rated tyres you definitely can't.
