Much of this would depend on the driving styles of previous owners, if the correct oil has been used etc.
The question is really impossible to answer.

yeah the car is a 2000 on a w with fsh did'nt know if it was average mileage or not.
just wondered how many miles you get out of one before you start hitting trouble.

"Book" mileage is 8k, 10k or 12 k a year, depending on who you are talking to! So you are looking at about 70k as average for that age of car so, not too high.

As suggested earlier, it's HOW it has been driven that counts. 90,000 with good motorway driving and regular servicing is nothing. On the other hand, I remember years ago we had an A reg Escort works van. Ran like a pig and eventually the engine blew up big time at just under 30k miles. It had been thrashed since day one. On the other hand, I have owned cars and vans with upto 165k on the clock that ran like new because they'd been looked after by previous owners. Then I got 'em!!! Enough said......

thanks for the info it was a choice between the 206 or a 306 1.4 of the same year
with 50,000 miles !!. 206 just looked newer shape.
