VW warranty and private purchase - Hillfly
Can anyone advise me about transferring warranties from a private sale.
I am thinking of buying a VW with 1 years manufactures warranty remaining from a private seller. The car was bought back in Auguest '06 from a VW dealership.
Can I transfer the warranty to myself? If so how do I go about this?

Any advice greatly received.

You should not have any problems. Just phone your nearest dealer and tell them you own your car and give them the reg number.I t is all on computer.

I bought my Bora TDI Highline privately and even though I had transferred a registration number,the warranty remaining was transferred to me.
