04 Daihatsu Charade squeaking sound - Rob E
Hi,
I have a 2004 Daihatsu Charade 1.0 SL. Recently it has developed a rather strange squeaking sound when the revs drop down to idling. It is not continuous, and only occurs when pulling off, and then when changing gears. It only happens at a particular frequency of revs (i.e. just below the normal idle - when pulling off). Could it be a loose engine mount, or is it perhaps an exhaust vibration? The car flew through the MOT on Saturday and nothing was mentioned about it. It cannot be heard higher up the rev range (drove to Oxford and back from London this week-end and the only time you could hear it was when pulling out of junctions or edging forwards in traffic - no trace of it on the motorway). Any ideas?

The warranty runs out on 1st March, so am going to book it in tomorrow!
