Peugeot 406 Electrical Problem

Please can anyone help me with this, I have a 406 2.0LX Est, When you open the drivers door the hazard lights come on, it doesn't happen with any other door. You then have to press the hazard light button to turn off. It doesn't seem to matter whether you lock the car with the key or the remote. Also I have noticed if you take time to get out of the car on locking it the hazard lights flash. I am not sure if it has an alarm as I've never heard it or can find any reference to it in the manual.

Any ideas anyone please.....
