I had the Parrot (bluetooth hands-free in car kit) fitted in the Outback when I had a Nokia 6310i and it paired beautifully, downloading the phonebook and voice data immediately. I swapped temporarily to an Sony Ericcson W850i which I hated but also worked reasonably well with the Parrot.
I now have a Nokia E50 which is great, but will not download any data to the Parrot. All it will do is to handle calls through the bluetooth system and boot the call through the speakers and microphone.
The fitter says its because the phone is a 'smartphone' which I suppose it is as it is like a PDA, only looks like a normal one, so its too advanced for the Parrot. Is he wrong - can I sync them and get the data downloaded?

What you need is the magic voice activation code............................................................"Who's a pretty boy then "

Hi Espada, I have the same issue with my Nokia N80 and recently installed CK3100. I've been told that by using the 'object push' function on the kit I should be able to force the phonebook through to the kit. I've also been told that I won't be able to get the signal or battery meters synchronised between handset and kit.
What have you managed to get synchronised?

Hi Peter
I did the same thing. I googled for Parrot and got onto the 'expansys'? website forum and looked at the thread which mentioned the N80. It told you how to do the object push and it worked with all the phone book fully loaded, although I have not used it fully yet. As you say, it does not sync up with the battery, signal or network details.
HTH :-)

You need to download the following patch from the Nokia website europe.nokia.com/A4144399 "Nokia 616 Contact Download Application". Once you have this patch on your phone the contacts will all transfer automatically.

I should have mentioned that I currently use a Nokia N80 with the CK 3100 and in the past have used a 6260. Both work well with the patch added however the battery , signal strength and network name are not shown.
