Just looked into the back of the car and the floor is soaking from the front to the back in the passengers side, yet iam not looseing any coolent! The battary comparment seems to be holding water ? Any ideas ???

Check the drain holes are clear. This is a very common fault on the Passat.

Sounds like the famous passat pollen filter cover. Do a forum search on 'passat water leak', loads of info in there.

In HJ's model guides it advises clearing the drain holes which are somewhere under the battery. Do it ASAP (or suck / siphon the water out first) and dry the interior, there's an ECU module under the passenger seat that could get water damaged

Someone comes up with this question on various VAG models every few days, because VAG can't be bothered to fix design faults even after many years, try a forum search without being too specific about make and model.

will prob be coming through the pollen filter. VW should pay if vehicle is 5years or under.

Definitely sounds like the drainhole under the battery is blocked. My A4 had the exact same problem 2 weeks ago, in my case, the cover to the pollen filter was cracked allowing water to seep in. Just about have the sound proofing dried out at this stage.
