Thinking of changing my Audi - bbroomlea{P}
Hi

I have only had my A4 for a while but fancy something that is a bit more individual. My annual mileage is now looking to be around 15000 rather than 30000 when I bought it to replace my ageing 75.

Firstly any ideas how much I will get for my Audi - its a 2002 52 A4 TDi SE 130 with 112,000 miles in denim blue, full audi service history with 8K until the next one.

Any suggestions to replace, although the Audi is a lovely car it lacks character and its not really a car you want to keep foreverer.

I really only want to spend what the Audi is worth and thinking something Italian or out of the ordinary.

Dunno what it's worth, but whatever it is, you're bound to be able to afford a Alfa 156...

Along the lines of an italian car, how about an Alfa 166 - stupifying depreciation when new which makes them very cheap secondhand.

Price for your car is around £7100 private, about £6500 trade in roughly.

Get an 03 166 for that with about 30k on the clock.

Or a Renault Vel Satis, prob on an 02 plate.

Im sure there are many reasons not to have one, but they are out of the ordinary :-)

The 166 sounds like a good suggestion that I will have a look at, I thought about a 156 but not its bigger brother....more than happy with the trade in price you have suggested considering what I paid for the car.

Anyone have any predictions how long it will be before the 159 second hand prices drop?

In my part of the world that car would retail for about £6k private and about £7k trade. What you get offered as a 'trade in' is another matter....

A trader is going to be looking at around £4500 +(Leeds area)if its straight and if a 156 is to small than surely a 159 is as well .The 166 is a super car even at 2.0 litre its quite nippy but the drawbacks being it is heavy on petrol and costly on insurance not a cheap car to run compared to your Audi.
