Cd fitting 2002 corsa - Robin the Technician
Hi,
We have just purchased a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 2002 '52' plate 5 door. The car has the original radio cassette fitted and I want to change it for the higher spec CD. Does this just pull out (via the correct removal tools) and the CD fit sraight in? Also, I have the opportunity to have one from a wreck that has a silver front. The car has the rest of the silver parts still attached to the console - are these easy to remove and will it fit my car?
Some cars with CD players fitted have controls on the steering wheel. Is this a special wheel or can the relevant paddle assembly and associated harness be fitted easily to the existing wheel?

Sorry theres so many questions - I'm sure there's an expert out there who will have all the answers.

Thanks

Is this the type you want to fit ,if so apparantly they have to be coded in by the agents.Read the description hope it helps a little. tinyurl.com/lv36e long and broken link to ebay replaced - DD

Will physically pull out and slot in as you describe, but different vauxhalls have different dashboard displays (some have 3 10-digit lines, some have 2 12-digit lines etc etc.) If you get a CD player from the same spec car as yours, it might work OK. If it doesn't specify which car, like the eBay link, then you'll probably need a specialist to set it up - the eBay thing says main dealers, but I'm sure an independant ICE specialist might have a few clues.

Some of the newer "Vauxhall" stereos are coded to the separate display. Not sure if this applies to the Corsa, but you *might* end up having to get Vauxhall to marry up the stereo to the display.
