THB Bury car phone kit

Just purchased a car that has the THB Bury car kit installed. It has a 'Take and Talk' adapter for the old Nokia 3 series phones.

Before buying an adapter for my current phone (around £50) I dug out an old nokia 3310 to see if it all worked.

When I get a call the radio will mute but I can't hear the phone ring and when answered the caller can hear me but I can't hear them.

Does anyone have this system? should the sound come through the car stereo?

I have been using Bury car kits in the fleet of about 24 cars for over 2 years and they are fine. It all depends on the quality of the installation. They should use the car stereo, and mute the radio as you describe, but the problem you are having is either a fault on the old handset, or a wiring fault in the installation.
The interchangable cradles mean that you do not have to install a new car kit if the handset changes!
THB Bury are the biggest manufacturers of car kits in Europe so they are generally top rate and we have had no problems.
