How cheap for the basic Fiat Panda...? - stunorthants
Im thinking about buying a Fiat Panda although prob a pre-reg one, not brand new. Anyhow, I saw in one of the magazines that they reckon you can get one for £4700 ish, yet none of my local dealers think its impossible and infact the used ones ive found of the same model are dearer than that, so whats going on?

Secondly, have Fiat sorted out reliability now or are they still churning out woefully fragile cars? Anyone one own and can tell me what they are like to live with?

Motorpoint have them for £4999, think you'll struggle to beat that.

Try www.broadspeed.com/ - about £5200 OTR - motorpoint prices don't include road tax or some various admin fees and cars will be pre-reg I think. Broadspeed is for a unregistered car OTR

The one I looked at a while back seemed a well built car, much improved on older 'touch-it-and-it-will-break' FIATS.
If only they did a diesel in the 4x4 for UK, then that would be Pandastic...

I paid just under 6 grand for a brand new one with metallic and air-con about 18 months ago.

100% reliable after 12,000 miles and an annual service bill of just 80 quid. Fuel consumption OK for a 1.1 petrol, but then again it does get worked hard up and down the hills around here.

Interior standing up well to 2 kids' abuse, despite yellow upholstery and pale grey dash. No squeaks or rattles. Thouroughly recommend the Panda.

Well this months Top Gear magazine reckons in its target price bit, that you can get a 1.1 Active for £4790 which is for a UK supplied car.
