Engine Management Light - Subaru - Happy Blue!
Did something silly this morning. Started the car, moved it all of 5 yards and stopped the engine. I do this occasionally, but let the engine run for longer than 15 seconds.

I started the car again about 15 minutes later and the engine management light came on. I ran the car hard on the way to work and when I left the office at 4:15 it was still on. Strangely though, after I picked up my son from school the light did not come back on.

Any thoughts?

It may be the oxygen sensor on its way out, had a similar problem with 2ltr turbo impreza. Renewed the sensor and no further problems.

You could do a search on google and find a method of testing the sensor and fault find the other sensors such as the maf.
