Lost Key - Peugeot 307 Hdi - geoff1248
My Peugeot 307 Hdi is parked in the station car park and I have lost the key. Managed to get home and will have to contact the Pug dealer tomorrow for a replacement. Anyone any idea of the probable replacement cost?

Sorry, I misread your post! You have lost one key, went home for the spare and got home with that. Sorry, it is very late!

Nope, we only had one key. The other key lays at the bottom of Lake Windermere and has done for several years but that is a totally different story. So we currently have no keys for the car.

Geoff, it is even later! I am sorry to hear of your bad luck on this one! Perhaps a dealer will give you a 'deal' on 2 keys, if you buy them at the same time? I don't think you will ever want to be down to just one key ever again! Tomorrow morning I will post you a link to an auto-locksmith but I don't think it will get the price down!

Thanks very much-I hope I didn't keep you up too late AS. Just come back from the Pug dealer pleasently surprised. Two new keys for £135. They checked the chassis number and key code(?) and said a couple of days at the most. However, had it been a newer 307 it would have taken 5 to 10 days and cost a lot more. Keys do seem a little expensive given that you can buy a brand new Dell computer for under £300.

Don't forget to go and pay and display back at the station or you'll be out of pocket another £135! I hope NOT! Glad you got a result!

I have a similar problem with a 306. Dealer here wants €230+VAT for one replacement.

Real cost ... £3 + an hour here 'n back ?
