Hi,

I am buying a new Focus and was interested in the dealers information on New for old Gap insurance until the car was 4 or 5 years old until the bit about the price came out. They wanted £500-600 pounds.

I can find similar products online, but non direct with brand named companies. Prices seem to be around the £173 mark for 3 years.

Who would you use and why?

People that like buying insurance and its a great earner for the person selling the cover.

bazza there are insurance companies that give new car replacement at up to 2 years old as standard and after 2 years old you get the market value of your car so why do you need gap insurance when you can buy another car of the same age if you write it off ,you would have the price of the gap insurance to put towards a replacement if needed and if you dont need it you have not given that money away for nothing
over simplified maybe but that is how it is in hard facts
