In todays Telegraph is a small paragraph as follows:
The 300 mph JCB
The British digger company JCB yesterday unveiled a supercar designed to break the land speed record for diesel-powered vehicles. The 30ft car, with two modified JCB engines, is capable of travelling at more than 300 mph.
The JCB website does not have any more information, nor does Google. Does anyone have a link with more information?

I read frequently, but only post when I have something useful to say.
Some pictures - it's a traditional cigar shaped landspeed record fourwheeler and will by driven by WC Andy Green - the man who drove Thrust SSC. Current diesel record is 235.74MPH and JCB hope to do over 300MPH
They list a few stats
length=9m, Width=1.1m, Height .98m
Weight=2.6 tonnes
Power two (front & rear) 4.4L diesels with 750BHP each and each has 6 speed g/box
Fuel tank is a mere 9 litres !
It needs to be moving at 50MPH before 1st gear can be engaged - ie it's push started (like many such cars)
The vehicle will be driven by Wing Commander Andy Green, who set a supersonic land-speed record in a jet-powered ThrustSSC in 1997, and will be tested over two runs, that is really great goo.gl/cw7BI
