rover 214 i clutch

any one help? i have a 93 rover 214 8 valve and have just put a new clutch in it.
but the pedal still seems to be higher than the brake pedal.
is there any adjustment anywhere for this?

I Suggest you change the cable they stretch and give excess height to pedal,usually cable change is done when replacing clutch assy.They used to be around £35 to replace non trade

thanks for that , it puzzled me because i could not find any auto adjuster.

IIRC,its the cable sleeve on these that take up the play,ie auto adjuster

This is a job I need to do on my car. Do you have any tips/pointers? I'm finding the Haynes manual a little obtuse.

hmmm the clutch pedal on my '93 214 Si is higher than the brake pedal - just thought it was a 'feature' of the car but if it can be adjusted let me know how too please.
