Tyre recommendation Astra G 1.8i - barchettaman
Morning all,
Obviously tyre choice gets covered alot on the forum, but I thought I would ask if anyone had any strong recommendations for our Astra G estate, as it needs 4 new tyres.
Size is 195/60 R15.
Main priorities are quietness, economy and abrasion resistance.

At the mo´ I´m thinking of getting Michelins (?74/corner)

Any thoughts?

If you are a Costco member they charge £67/68 fitted 9from memory) for V rated Michelins

For quietness consider the Dunlop SP01 at around £63 or the new Goodyear Excellence £59. Also the Conti premium Contact 2 at £63
Mich around £66 but I dont think they are as quiet. Two more grippy offerings but not as quiet are the Goodyear Hydragrip at
£54 or the Uniroyal Rallye 550 at £49. Suggested prices are for fully fitted V rated tyres. But the quietest tyre is definitely the SP01...

H rated SP01 £57 Excellence £57 Conti £61 Mich £54
Hydra £52 or Uni £47

I can get Dunlop sp01´s for ?65,50 a corner (40 quid?), so that´s decision made.
