My DIY/Building car, a 1996 SEAT Toledo TDI SXE bought off of eBay started rattling from the cat. One tyre and exhaust place wanted £230 and the part alone from a parts supplier was £150. Another tyre and exhaust outlet just fitted me an own brand new one for £85 with 2year guarentee! Don't think you can get cheaper than that!

Only problem is that the original one had a piece broken up inside and was rattling, when I inspected the innards it looked of good quality and a mesh/honeycomb type construction. The new one looked like it had straw inside and the welding left a lot to be desired. However, the rattling has stopped.
