Hi people!
need two rear tyres for my megane and wanted to know what make people recommend, suppose low road noise and longetivity are key, as well as grip, is their an excellent all round tyre?
any experiences or recommendations would be a great help.

MICHELIN
|
|
Have been scouting about and is between some kumhos, bridgestones and michelins.....
|
^^Why michelins?
It is well known that Michelin is the best tyre, but not the cheapest.
You wanted a tyre to last a long time and also to be quiet, Michelin's will do this. They are much better than the others you mentioned.
Some people have other favorite makes, Goodyear, Pirelli, Continental are good tyres, but the creme de la creme are the Michelin. Just shop around, try Costco and ATS.

Would you be more specific as to tyre size and speed rating, or just post the engine size....
|
|
they are currently on a 175-70-13 V rating.

Please recheck TB as there are no V rated 175/70r13 tyres only

Sorry they are on a T Rating, must have had the letter V in my head at the time I typed. Strange!

Just checked what make I currently have on (10k miles after I bought the car!-ignorant I know)
I have grandtour on the front (budget????) and michelin energy on the rear. Think I will go for the michelins again, even though I have read they are not as good in the wet as others due their composition. Mine have been ok I suppose...
Not sure how long the grandtours have in them, are an unknown quantity!!!

Update
Just had two michelin energys fitted from costco, £64 in total, nearly £20 cheaper than the equivalent online tyre companies.
Think I will be going there in future!

Well done, you know it makes sense.
